Corner Man

Sitting by a Bodega at Halsey St subway, Mike ”Whisper” Covert gets by on the compassion of strangers. A vagrant boxer with a troubled past, he is jobless and struggling on the streets. After dark, Whisper uses the lights and warmth of the New York City subway as a gym to teach young men the sport of boxing. Taking on the role of a mentor, Whisper offers emotional guidance to his prodigies, who confide their teenage troubles to him.
